Happy Tuesday!

So these are all pictures of our house in Portland.  We rescently moved from our previous residence due to landlady issues...  Need I say more.  Mike and I couldn't be happier!  As I tried to capture in the pictures, there is so much sunlight that fills the house - so cozy!  In the basement, Mike took two photos that he had taken of Lake Superior (Duluth and Grand Maris) and blew them up (they are hanging from the paddle).  This is one of my favorite parts of the house.  I also took a print that I bought in Stockholm a few years ago and had it framed - it has hanging in the bathroom.  (Do you ever think of what you would grab if the house was burning?  Of course after Mike and Hartley, I'd probably grab that picture - I just adore it! haha)

It sure has been a busy fall...  Mike was just in Toronto for a business conference and I've been up in northern Maine doing some teaching to high schoolers.  While on a teaching visit last week to Millinocket, ME, the leaves have peaked, and here in Portland, the color is beautiful! 
Mike and I will be celebrating our 3 year anniversary tomorrow!  Alas, he is in New Hampshire on business and I won't see him until Friday...  So, we will make due and celebrate this weekend!  I'm trying to think of ideas for the occasion...  Harvest on the Harbor is this weekend, choosing one of the endless possible restaurants in portland would always be fun, but I'd be interested in ideas if you have them!

This past weekend when Mike was in Toronto, I made an apple-cinnamon cake and butternut/delicata squash soup!  Delish!  No pictures of these, but I will capture my next cooking endeavors!
